The Magner-Lindsey Hotel
The building that Feminine Mystique is housed in was built in 1872 by the Finneman family. as a private residence In 1886 it was sold to Hannah Magner who enlarged it, making it into the Magner Hotel. in 1901 James Lindsey bought it and it was called the Hotel Lindsey. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Magner-Lindsey Hotel. Though the building behind is in disrepair, a livery barn built in 1909 is still in existence.
